Vladislav Zabrodin co-leads the Law Asia active CIS practice as Senior Advisor. He is the founder and Managing Partner of Capital Legal Services. Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 describe Vladislav as one of the most notable practitioners of law in Russia. Chambers Europe 2017 noted him as an “Eminent Practitioner” and “a visible figure on the market, assisting clients with strategic issues on key projects.”
As a lawyer, over the last 20 years Vladislav has devoted his practice to advising clients on corporate and commercial law, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, project financing and public-private partnership, as well as other aspects of doing business in Russia. Prior to establishing Capital Legal Services, Mr. Zabrodin headed the representative office of McDermott, Will & Emery, LLC. From 1995 to 1998, he headed the CIS legal group at OTIS Elevator Company. Vladislav has extensive experience of successful work as a member of the board of directors of major transnational companies.
Vladislav Zabrodin is experienced in managing investment projects for market leaders in such industries as global retail, food production, hi-tech manufacture and maintenance, construction materials, personal hygiene products, forestry, chemicals and pharma. Vladislav has represented the interests of both investors and government authorities in first-of-a-kind and first-in-the-country public-private partnership projects in Russia.
Being the Chairman of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Russian Liaison Committee, Vladislav plays an important role in the ongoing collaboration between the Russian and European retail markets.
